- After School Clubs have begun very well, with Mr Gunstone’s sessions very well attended and Mrs Fletcher’s Craft Club oversubscribed. A number of families are yet to pay, so please do go online and settle any amounts as soon as possible.
- Families should now have their times back for family consultations, next Tuesday and Thursday. Please Dojo teachers if there are any issues. As always, there is a 10-mins slot for every pupil discussion and, should you need an additional meeting, let us know. Books are available, so maybe give yourself a little extra time to peruse in peace.
- World Book Day is next Thursday and the theme is “Read Your Way!” Pupils will be doing a range of reading activities in class, and we will get together at the end to share our efforts. On the day:
1. Pupils are welcome to bring up to 3 items as a “Hint of a Book”. PLEASE don’t go out and buy full outfits.
2. Just wear normal uniform and add something as a hint! Or it could be some item you bring in (please don’t make it precious in monetary or sentimental value).
3. It is ‘up to 3‘, so one item is great. One of the items does not need to be the book itself, so please don’t go out and buy a copy.
4. Anything we have not made clear, send us a message for clarification.
5. Tea Time @ Thurlbear is linked to World Book Day! Please bring in a favourite book you love to share with your children, as well a (suitable!) book you read as an adult; a great time to share.
- Special thanks goes to Mrs Strong, today, who brought the Welsh Pride to Thurlbear, today. Welsh ladies, daffodils and leeks were proudly on display and ready for St David’s Day, tomorrow.
