Good morning, families!
It has been a very good start back to school at Thurlbear; I hope you all managed some quality time, at home.
A big thanks to the Macey family for their fantastic help in removing some of the problematic roots over in our quiet area, over the half term (and in their own family time). This has helped enormously move us forward steadily in our plans to renovate the space. Eventually, I am hoping that it becomes a great extension of our living and learning zones in school, and we benefit from the space provided for years to come. Our Values Team, along with Mrs Foster-Burnell, Mrs Hetherington-Prissell and Mrs Suddaby-Newman, are helping to shape this area, and we will ensure that any trees / greenery is replaced with new planting in our school grounds. They are also keen to develop the quiet area to attract pollinators via varied flora. So, please do keep an eye on our communications in the near future as I share more of our works with you all.

REQUEST: Over the holidays, I came into school and took a journey through our ‘old swimming pool’, which currently houses PTA uniform, classroom resources and a myriad of other items. One thing that is in there is an ice cream trolley on wheels and is used by our PTA in the Summer! It is approx 1.5m x 1.5m x 1m. Does ANYONE please have space in a shed/garage/barn that could store this ASAP? We are really struggling for space. Please do get in touch with me if you could help:
