Parent Consultations Information
Parent Consultation Evenings are planned for the week beginning 13th October. We use this meeting to discuss how children have settled into the new class and learning patterns, as well as set the goals for the year ahead. Normally, we have a set 2 days during the week. However, due to a packed few weeks of teachers’ professional meetings and courses after school, we do not have 2 days where everyone is available at the same time. Therefore, the organisation will look like this:
We apologise that families with more than one child face the prospect of coming back to school more than once in the week. Teachers will send home the sign-up letter for you to signal your preferred slots.
Safeguarding Update
- Our new astro zone is proving incredibly popular with all of our pupils and we have been using it through the school day. Please remember that our younger pupils should not be using the equipment after they have been picked up, as they are not supervised by our staff during this time.
- Please remember to update school with at least 2 contacts for your child in case of emergencies. Ideally, we hold 3 sets of details for our pupils.
Outside-School Opportunities
A very interesting set of sessions for pupils to try out all kinds of new skills!
There are also Holiday Clubs for families to book into. These are hosted in neighbouring schools and run by Premier Education, the company that come to Thurlbear for Gymnastics Club.
