As you will be aware via a recent class dojo message, we have arranged for Darrell Wakelam to join us on Google Classroom to share some of his projects and support us in our World Book Day activities.
Miss Warrington has created a special Thurlbear Classroom for this day, which you can join in the following way:
• Simply log into Google Classroom as usual, using your child’s login details. If you have more than one child, it only needs to be done once and just use that account to access the ‘room’
• IN the top right hand corner, click on the + button and ‘join a class’.
• This is the code you need: p3otq4n. This is our secure school space, so please keep this safe.
• Simply paste in the class code and you will then be joined to ‘Thurlbear School’ classroom. When you now log in, you will have two selections: your child’s classroom and this Thurlbear School room. On the day (Thursday 9:30am), simply go into ‘Thurlbear School’ and click on the ‘meet’ banner to enter, as you do for every other live session.
• Once you are in the room, please switch off cameras and mics to allow the presenter the best opportunity to transmit to a large audience, as well as maintaining safeguarding protocols.
