Staffing Updates

Sad/Happy News for us all at Thurlbear:

As we head into a very busy few weeks at school, there's news on some movement in the Thurlbear family:

  • After many years as a member of staff at Thurlbear, Mrs Cann has announced her retirement. Cornwall and family time beckons, but she has promised to return soon and come and say a proper goodbye to pupils and staff very soon. We all thank her for the commitment and effort she has put into Thurlbear over her years, here, and we'll certainly miss the various costumes that would bring a flash of colour to pick-up time!

  • Mrs Lock is also retiring and very much looking forward to some family time! In her wown words: "Thank you and the entire school community for the support and friendship I've experienced during my time here, both as a parent and in my 24 years as an employee. It has been a privilege to be part of such a dedicated and caring environment."

  • Finally, Mrs Warrington is also leaving her TA role and focussing on family time. "It has been a great pleasure to have worked alongside such talented and committed staff, assisting in the education of wonderful children."

It goes without saying their collective loss around school will be huge, but we wish them all nothing but happiness as they set aside time to spend with their families. It does, however, open up opportunities to come and work for us. We are advertising 2 TA ROLES and application forms can be found on here.
