The Den

At Thurlbear CE VA Primary School we provide a Breakfast Club and an After School Club collectively known as ‘The Den’.  This is open to all primary aged children.  All sessions are held in the Community Room.  All our supervisors are highly trained and experienced.

The senior supervisor manages the after school club and the Breakfast Club.  A rota of staff are on duty each day.

Breakfast Club
It runs from 8.00-8.45 each school day morning. The children have breakfast and are looked after until they are taken to their classes at 8.45.

After School Club
This runs from 3.15 until 5:15 pm each school day. The children are picked up from their classes and taken to the School Hall where they have a snack. There is a variety of planned activities each week and free play opportunities. The programme is predominantly child-led with activities ranging from outdoor sports, craft and games. This is an excellent option for those pupils who do not want to join in with after school sports clubs but still want a little social time with peers.
