Teaching Assistants x 2
28 hours per week (Term time only) – Grade 15, Point 3 – 4
£ 18,562 – 18,933 p.a. pro rate (£9.62 – £9.81 per hour)
Thurlbear CE VA Primary School is a church school on the edge of Taunton and we are looking to appoint 2 teaching assistants able to support teaching and learning within the classroom. The successful applicants will be working with a range of children in the 4 – 11 years age range within the classroom and, ideally, are able to deliver intervention programmes, therefore helping our children achieve their very best of outcomes. Right now, experience of the role is desirable, but we are willing to ‘train up’ the right candidate if they show the passion, drive and enthusiasm that the role needs!
The successful applicant will:
- Be very positive, adaptable, professional in their conduct and flexible!
- Have English and Maths to GCSE level or NVQ equivalent.
- Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Be willing to deliver intervention programmes after guidance from the teacher.
- Show adaptability, quick-thinking, patience and enthusiasm in class and around our great school.
