We can’t thank families enough for this vital contribution to quality learning resources at our school. Classes will update you all with how it is being spent, but we have already spoken about dictionaries and thesauruses, front-facing book displays and various resources unique to individual year-group resource boxes.
Last week the PTA signed two cheques and handed them over to the school.
The first cheque was for £3500. This is divided amongst the teachers/ classes, with each receiving £500. This is for the teacher of each class to spend on resources as they so choose. In the past years, this has gone towards things such as IT equipment and musical instruments as examples.
The second cheque was for £200 for the school’s ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant or “listening ear” if you prefer!) to allow them to purchase some resources to help them better support those children who access this service.
The money we have given the school has come from your ongoing support and kind donations. Whether that’s through buying raffle tickets, cakes at the cake sale or going to the school disco, the money we make at these events mean we can give directly back to the school (which we are very proud and honoured to do).
Details of our next PTA meeting will follow over the next few days. If you are interested in learning more about what we do, or are able to help in anyway, please come along! We would love to have you there
