Thurlbear CE VA Primary School is a school on the edge of Taunton, but in the centre of the learning action. Our vision is to be an irresistible Church School and you need to want the same thing! Our great children are caring, thoughtful and friendly towards others and their behaviour stands out when we go out into the community. We are looking to appoint a great teaching assistant to provide support in our classes. Ideally, we want someone who has real experience of working in an effective classroom environment and is fully committed to helping children to achieve their very best. We want a teaching assistant who wants to stand out, not be outstanding. Ideally (but not essential), we are looking for someone who also has experience of working with pupils with specific learning needs. If this is you, get in touch!

• be patient and caring, whilst setting clear boundaries
• have experience with, or knowledge of, children with ASC
• have English and Maths to GCSE level or NVQ equivalent
