URGENT UPDATE:SCHOOL WILL BE CLOSED TOMORROW, FRIDAY 18th. A message from Somerset County Council: “Following advice from the Met Office and Environment Agency, this is to advise all education leaders in Somerset that we are recommending school, early years setting and college closure for Friday 18 February. A decision has been taken across the sub-region to issue a ‘do not travel’ warning for tomorrow morning. Dedicated schools transport will also be suspended. In Somerset, there is also the potential for localised flooding in coastal areas. We are mindful of the impact of school closure on children and young people’s education, therefore we are asking all educational leaders who would be able to provide online education to make this available.” All classes will have online learning available via Google Classroom and apologies by earlier update was premature, but a decision has only JUST been made in the last 20mins.
