The UKHSA investigation into discrepancies on PCR and LFD tests has concluded and, therefore, the guidance for families is:
Household contacts should isolate if they have tested positive on a LFD, tested positive on a PCR or have symptoms.
Household contacts should also isolate and get a PCR test if they have had a positive LFD and negative PCR up to the 13th of October.
Moving forward the guidance still stands that if a household contact is asymptomatic and fully vaccinated or under 18 they do not need to isolate.
Thank you.
